We are back from holiday and just wanted to let you know that all went well.
The Pathumwan Princess is a lovely hotel and Bex loved the fact it was attached to the MBK where she could shop her little heart out and the food hall on the 5th floor was great too. The Centara Grand was fantastic and the views are amazing. We would recommend it to anyone.
The Merlin was its usual lovely self and they treated us when we arrived with welcome leis, cocktails and a photo which they framed and gave to us. The Phi Phi Island tour had to be rescheduled to the Sunday as the weather wasnt great.  Our guide "Coco Chanel number 1" and his captain "Jack Sparrow" and the rest of the crew were very entertaining. We stopped at five islands and the food and snacks were great. The transfers were always early and they even sent reminders to the hotel the night before.
The only problem we had was that Rebecca developed an allergic reaction to something when we arrived in Phuket so we ended up at the hospital one night. I have to say the experience wasnt as ghastly as I had been led to believe. We were in and out within 40 minutes with medicine and all up a cost of about NZ$95 so not even worth claiming insurance.
Thanks for putting this together for us. If I have any friends planning on travelling to Asia, I will send them your way.
