We had a wonderful time, thank you so much. The Regent was amazing, our room was upgraded, wonderful service, excellent breakfast, well situated, friendly people, they were very helpful. Would recommend to anyone. We managed to see quite alot in Singapore but it was very hot so walking around not too much of an option. Taxis were great and cheap as were the water taxis. An amazing city- Gardens in the Bay a highlight, Clarke Quay at night fabulous,Singapore flyer and Raffles worth a visit,  Zoo OK but you need to go midweek when there arent so many families around!

Koh Samui- just fabulous. Our driver at the airport fell asleep waiting for us so after a few phone calls eventually located him. Had a visit from Fabulous Holidays representative the next day and booked a tour to Angthong National Park- this was well organised, value for money and an excellent day. Our villa with pool was an absolute delight and the air conditioning and pool welcome relief in the afternoon. Beautiful room with outside shower and bath, gorgeous garden and absolutely private.  Couldn’t fault the resort, again friendly, accommodating, beautiful breakfast, great service. The surrounds are beautiful and beach quiet and relaxing. Bandarra is a big resort but we never felt as though we were in a crowd. Certainly the quieter side of the island but that suited us fine. Wouldn’t want to be around the Chaweng side. We ended up hiring a driver – $80 for 4 hours to drive us around the island to see the sights which worked out well. Got the courtesy van in to Chaweng when we wanted to. Taxis also cheap and set prices which made it easier. Some amazing restaurants, (some VERY expensive) but the choice is amazing. Fisherman’s village was walking distance, reasonable and excellent. A must to go to the market on Friday nights- can walk along sipping a $3 cocktail! Five Islands restaurant a must and you can do boat tours from there too. Decided against getting a scooter, just too risky. One woman had had an accident and spent every day getting dressings changed at the hospital.

There are new villas at Bandara which were offered to us at an extra $50 per night, we didn’t take the offer up but they looked amazing.

In all- the exact holiday we had been after, the buzz of the city and then relaxing on the beach.
