What a fantastic holiday to Thailand we have just had.  Getting 14 family members away and back safely was quite a mission but with your expert planning, we achieved that with no hitches.

Everything was absolutely fantastic.  The Sunwing was superb for the families.  I have never seen such spacious units and our suite that went straight out to the pool was also excellent. The deals for lunch and dinner were also a bonus for the families with kids eating free at lunch time if they ate with an adult and half price at night with an adult.  This resort had a very friendly atmosphere - was smaller so perhaps that was why.  I must mention the kids club at Sunwing - absolutely fantastic, very professional with a great varied programme.  The discos, magic show etc. at night were greatly appreciated too.  Walking along the beach front and sampling the local restaurants was really convenient too, as was sitting at one of them and watching the awesome sunsets.

We hardly had any rain but the worst was a very heavy downpour at the big night market at Patong.  That was a bit of a shame. We should have gone back another night.  Never mind - next time!!!!

The Sands was located in a great position and I really enjoyed being able to just walk up the drive to the shops and local restaurants. 

Our room was lovely but there was quite a walk to get to the restaurants, pool. lobby, etc,  but close to the beach.  If we went back I think we would like to forget about being close to the beach and go for one of the rooms that led out to a pool.  We loved that at Sunwing. The shopping was great here and some lovely local restaurants.  Can recommend two in particular - the Hill Tribes and Golden Elephants.  Both had beautiful food and very very reasonable prices and only a very short tuktuk ride away from the Sands.  Actually we walked home from the Golden Elephant, shopping on the way!!!!!!

Our transfers all arrived on time - was great not having to worry about how we got from place to place.  We did have a concern with one of the drivers being fast and reckless in passing manoeuvres but gave him the word and he pulled back thankfully.  Double yellow no passing lines don't seem to mean anything over there!!!!!!!

Once again, thank you for all your help before our departure and for organising a very special time for our family.  I have already recommended you to another family who are planning a similar trip for next year.  They have your contact details so you may hear from them.
